Members of Trentham Brass Band went to Middleport Pottery on Saturday, to entertain shoppers at their Christmas market. Performing three 45 minute slots throughout the day they certainly spread the Christmas cheer far and wide.

In September percussionists John Stevenson and Peter Blakeman along with band manager Karen Woolliscroft were introducing Elliott Hodge from RJS Solicitors and councillor Rachel Kelsall (Chair of the RJS Foundation) to the intricacies of the timpani. The band have recently been awarded a grant from the RJS Foundation to refurbish the timpani.
The band gained a commendable 5th place in our section in the Fodens Online Whit Friday Championships recently. After 14 months of being unable to rehearse together due to Covid-19, on Friday 21st May the band finally came together for a first socially distanced rehearsal. It felt great to be back together again after so long!
