In September the band went down to Cheltenham for the weekend, to take part in the Finals of the National Brass Band Championships 2021 (postponed from 2020 due to the pandemic). After an enjoyable Saturday evening relaxing in Cheltenham, everyone was up early next morning to be at the Race Course for 8-30am. The contest piece was ‘An Elgar Portrait’ by Dan Price, which the band thoroughly enjoyed playing. The band was placed 11th nationally in the 4th Section.
