What
an amazing concert Trentham Brass Band gave last night at Longton
Central Hall. A band of 35 players entertained a very appreciative
audience with classics from the stage and screen raising funds in memory
of the late Derek Capey. A special well done to Karen
Woolliscroft who won Bandsperson of the year for the main band and Suzi
Hopwood for winning the Training Band trophy.
The concert also
marked the end of an era for conductor Mike Caveney who had been at the
helm at Trentham Brass for the past 19 years!
