So our last concert proved to be the most adventurous! After a morning relaxing (and shopping) in Aachen, Germany, we moved on to Maastricht in the Netherlands. We played in the town square, surrounded by pavement cafes. But before we could start we had to source our own chairs from the aforementioned cafes, what fun! I know some of the group were disappointed we didn’t travel further afield today but most were pleased for a more relaxed day. Surprisingly we also managed to keep our surprises to celebrate Mike’s birthday quiet until they happened too! We did manage an impromptu performance in the hotel gardens to finish off our playing for this tour ( the video is shown below).
It has been a busy but enjoyable few days, playing in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. We even managed to play in 3 countries at the same time. The tour has given chance to catch up with old friends, and to make many new ones. It has been such an enjoyable few days with a great group of people.
